AANSU BC Chapter

The Alumni Association of North South University BC aims to bring together and support the fellow Alumni and students in Canada and globally, ensure their welfare by creating a diverse, inclusive social & professional network, and committed to bring positive changes in all our communities by promoting personal & professional development.

Our Mission

1. Connect with fellow alumni and students residing not only in Canada but all over the world to create a diverse & supportive network. We would also create affiliations with other local chapters in Canada and other alumni associations of North South University operating in different countries across the globe.

2. Organize different social and professional events to equip our alumni and students with the essential knowledge, skills, and abilities and to promote personal & professional development.

3. Encourage and engage our members to contribute in our communities by participating in various voluntary, social, cultural, communal events, and activities in any capacity and strive for the greater benefit of the society.

Our Objectives

  • To preserve and promote friendship and collegiality among the Alumni, extend support and communication through the channels of the Alumni members in need. 
  • To support and encourage Alumni members proceeding / continuing studies at different institutions in British Columbia. Providing informative and counseling support for accommodation needs, academic needs, job search and references. 
  • To support and encourage Alumni who are newcomers in Canada through information assistance and guidance. 
  • To maintain and update the database of all the alumni of the University present in British Columbia and to interact with them to utilize the rich experiences of Alumni for the benefit and progress of the society and Alumni. 
  • To arrange seminars, and workshops and to arrange cultural and social welfare programs to provide a platform for the Alumni to practice their cultural, intellectual, and professional skills. 
  • To gather and maintain a database of employment information and to assist the Alumni members in securing suitable jobs and/or providing references when needed. 
  • To arrange charitable activities such as fundraising, donations, food drives in the province of British Columbia and in Bangladesh when needed. 
  • To uphold, promote and practice Bangladeshi culture, national days of importance, and Bangladeshi history and encourage Alumni Children and Family participation in different cultural, social, and nationalistic activities of the Alumni Association.
